Amway Is Opening a New Plant

Amway Global is going to build additional manufacturing facilities on Fulton Street. In this new facility there will be placed equipment for manufacturing protein drink powder.

By the year 2012 the company plans to move all the operations from California to Michigan. The movement of operations is supposed to bring 74 new jobs.

On Monday there was approved building of two additional warehouses that will be located in an industrial development location. That will let the company to apply for 12-year half reduced tax decrease on the project. According to calculations, that will save the company about $190,000 in taxes during the first year.
